Discover Jaskinia Nietoperzowa - the largest cave of the Cracow-Czestochowa Upland

About us

Bat Cave is a unique tourist attraction, accessible to visitors only with a guide. It is located in the Kraków–Częstochowa Upland and is the largest cave in the region.

According to measurements taken on May 28, 2022 by Michał Ciszewski, the total length of the passages in the Bat Cave–Zygmunt system is 1,121.2 meters, with a vertical range of 55.1 meters (including +14.4 m and –40.7 m).

One of the most impressive parts of the cave is the largest chamber open to visitors. It measures approximately 35 meters in length, 18 meters in width, and 10 meters in height, creating a space of remarkable character and excellent acoustics. It was in this very chamber that scenes for the film With Fire and Sword were shot, which further enhances its unique, almost cinematic atmosphere.
